President

Josh Kubala
Josh Kubala is the president of Michael Walker Construction. Raised in Brenham, Texas, where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for building, Josh attended Texas A&M University (this is where he’d say “Gig ‘em!”) and earned his degree in Construction Science.
With over 17 years of experience successfully managing high-profile projects, Josh has collaborated with clients from Frito-Lay to PricewaterhouseCoopers to Cook Children’s. Naming the company after his two sons, Michael Walker Construction serves as a daily reminder for Josh to uphold a commitment to quality, family, and service.

Katie Hambric
Katie Hambric is vice president of Michael Walker Construction. A Dallas native, Katie graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduating, Katie quickly found her passion in construction.
Only five years into the industry, she joined our team as MWC Employee #2 and hasn’t looked back. Learning the ins and outs of the industry, Katie’s love of numbers, providing estimates, and balancing budgets keep her continually engaged and instrumental in our success.

Kacy Abel
Director of Project Management

Kacy Abel
Kacy Abel is the director of project management at Michael Walker Construction. Originally from Hinsdale, Illinois, Kacy graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Construction Management and moved to Dallas in 2010.
With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Kacy has worn many hardhats in her career, from Field Engineer to Cost Analyst to Senior Project Manager. She is especially proud of leading complex projects like the UTD Brain Performance Institute, a unique construction that mirrored the intricacies of the human brain.
As Kacy’s career has grown from $1,000 to $150 million projects, the thing that keeps her coming back is watching her colleagues grow with her.

Mark Farrell
General Superintendent

Mark Farrell
Mark Farrell is the general superintendent at Michael Walker Construction. Raised in Richardson, Texas, Mark has played a key role in developing DFW in his 30 years of industry experience, including AT&T Stadium, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, and multiple airport projects.
Joining the Army in 1988, Mark successfully brought his service experience and tireless work ethic into the construction industry. Through his leadership by example, Mark has been the consistent throughline that makes MWC a reliable partner for projects of all sizes.

Steven Hutchison
Client Support Manager

Steven Hutchison
Steven “Hutch” Hutchison is the client support manager at Michael Walker Construction. Hailing from Carrollton, Texas, Hutch joined the construction industry following four years of service in the Army. With over 14 years of experience, Steven’s done it all, excelling in key roles including production manager, superintendent, and procurement agent.
More than any project Steven has worked on, his favorite part of working at MWC has been watching clients become friends through hard work and building strong relationships. Always armed with a strong coffee and a relatable story, Hutch is passionate and proud of his team’s work.
